Today is World Puppetry Day. We congratulate the coordinators of the International Storytelling Network: Gelos Giles (Mexico), Alekos (Colombia- Spain) and Randel McGee (USA) for their storytelling work with puppets.

After Rudyard Kipling’s If, Imagine and Human Rights Day, here we are to a new video from the Storytellers for Peace group.
World Storytelling Day is an event celebrated every year around the world near March 20.
This year the theme is transformation.
So, we asked ourselves: how writing and telling stories may transform the world in a better place?
Twelve storytellers from ten different countries will tell you their answers.

“Storytellers for Peace” is an international network of narrators who create collective stories through videos. Artists and stories are from all over the world and speak about peace, justice, equality and human rights. All participants tell one or more verses of the story in their first language. The project was created and is coordinated by Alessandro Ghebreigziabiher, author, storyteller, stage actor, director and coordinator of International Storytelling Network in Italy.

Storytelling Festival "Primavera de Cuentos" 2017 , La Habana, Cuba

Cuentacuentos de 12 países actuarán en Cuba

La Habana, 3 feb (PL) Artistas de 12 países confirmaron su participación en el IX Festival de Narración Oral Primavera de Cuentos 2017 que se celebrará aquí del 20 al 26 de marzo venidero, destacó hoy su directora general Mayra Navarro.

Narradores de Argentina, México, Perú, Uruguay, Colombia, Panamá, Canadá, Martinica, Kenya, Chile, Polonia y Cuba actuarán en el Gran Teatro de La Habana (GTH) Alicia Alonso, el Centro Cultural Brecht, la sala El Arca, los conventos de Belén y de San Agustín, y la biblioteca Rubén Martínez Villena.

En declaraciones a Prensa Latina, la maestra Navarro precisó que el día inaugural, desde las nueve de la mañana, se prevé el espectáculo Cuentos de Ultramar que tendrá por escenario al poblado de Regla, con salida desde el Emboque de Luz en el centro histórico capitalino.

Betime Story, an storytelling show, is airing on VALE TV. It is a Venezuelan television channel dedicated to education and culture. 

Bedtime Story is in Spanish and it will air daily at 8:30 pm. All stories will be told by our coordinator Beatriz Montero.
